If you are encountering slowness in browsing, please utilise our proxy server for enhanced browsing performance. Depending on your your browser you can do the following:

Internet Explorer 7.0 and above:

  1. On the Tools menu in Internet Explorer, click Internet Options.
  2. Click the Connections tab, and then click LAN Settings.
  3. Under Proxy server, click to select the Use a proxy server for your LAN check box.
  4. In the Address box, type the following proxy server details.
  5. Proxy server:proxy2.snowball.co.za Port: 8080
  6. Add the following *.snowball.co.za in the No Proxy for field
  7. Click OK to close the LAN Settings dialog box.
  8. Click OK again to close the Internet Options dialog box.

Mozilla Firefox:

  1. On the Tools menu in Mozilla Firefox, click Options, click the Advanced tab.
  2. Then click Network, then click Settings.
  3. Click Manual Proxy Configuration:
  4. In HTTP Proxy dialog box type in: proxy2.snowball.co.za – Port: 8080
  5. Click on Advanced tab and add *.snowball.co.za in the Exceptions box
  6. Tick box: Use this proxy server for all protocols.
  7. Click OK to close the Connection Settings dialog box.
  8. Click OK again to close.

How to activate the Proxy in Google Chrome:

  1. Select the 3 horizontal stripes in the top right corner.
  2. Go to settings.
  3. Scroll down and select show advanced settings.
  4. Click Proxy settings. Now go to LAN settings.
  5. Enter the following under Proxy:
  6. Address: proxy2.snowball.co.za
  7. Port: 8080
  8. Tick Bypass proxy for local addresses.
