New Data Centre

As a result of growing customer demand Snowball has opened it's doors to a brand new world class data centre on 1 July 2010 . Our new data centre offers dual power with raised flooring, top quality UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) and cooling systems and was was designed according to comprehensive engineering standards.

The opening of our new data centre in Technopark, Stellenbosch reflects Snowball's commitment to invest in our customers' growth. With our new data centre we've increased our cabinet capacity by 200%. Our data centre has been designed according to strict standards and include the following features:

• Air-conditioning banks to sufficiently cool the internal environment

• UPS with a stand-by time of up to two hours, as well as a 540kVA diesel power generator allowing for 12-18 hours of continual run, in case of a power outage

• UPS and servers are monitored 24/7/365 with notification by email and SMS to more than one support staff member
